Diamondback Concrete was contracted to pour a 35,000-square-foot beef packing plant that includes a 500-linear-foot serpentine wall to run the cattle. Normally, the surveying process would require a minimum of a week, because Diamondback would have to wait for the survey firm to come to the job site.
Using Leica Geosystem's electronic distance measuring (EDM) device, Diamondback was able to perform the survey in-house with improved speed and accuracy. All pins were located, to within a sixteenth of an inch across the entire site, in just a couple of hours.
