Expomin 2006

Expomin 2006, the largest Mining Expo held in South America, recently took place in Santiago, Chile. The Leica Geosystems booth provided visitors a unique opportunity to see the broad range of Leica Geosystems products and technologies that are available for applications within the mining industry.

Throughout the five days of the expo, visitors were able to see firsthand the benefits of Leica Geosystems integrated mining solutions and surveying instruments. Product specialists from Leica Geosystems, Chilean survey-products dealer, Cientec, and technology partner Jigsaw Technologies were all on hand to showcase leading-edge monitoring and guidance solutions that maximize productivity and enhance profitability.

This exhibition marked the launch of Leica Geosystems high precision GPS monitoring and guidance products within the Latin America market, as well as the newly formed alliance with Jigsaw Technologies.

"The launch of the Leica Geosystems GPS mining products was received with great interest by visitors to the booth," said Cesar Lanatta, vice president Latin America for Leica Geosystems. "The display of surveying instruments from Leica Geosystems and the partnership with Jigsaw Technologies for machine automation mining solutions, demonstrated to the market a new and impressive advancement to what was previously available for surveying, machine monitoring and guidance."
